Margaret River produces some excellent seafood, and that was the second thing that we sought at Leeuwin Estate. BB had a magnificent plate of Geographe Bay squid and pea puree.

Leeuwin Estate – Part 2
This was partly what we came for. We tasted a range of wines from the winery. BB prefers red – there was a nice shiraz on offer – but I do like their chardonnay.
Leeuwin Estate – Part 1
We’re still in Margaret River, as you can see. The area is currently known as one of the top wine producing areas in Australia. I get the feeling driving around the region that winemaking has ramped up in recent years, judging by Caves Road. It’s vineyards as far as the eye could see, and further still.
We didn’t visit a lot of wineries, but we did want to taste some decent wines, hence our visit to Leeuwin Estate.
