On the Heath – Part 6
Next was a cluster of one of my favourite flowers – the Sydney flannel flower. They really thrived in the sandy, salty soil.

These little flowers were numerous on the heath. They look like tea tree flowers to me, or could they be boronias?

There were clean and bright rice flowers – I like their delicate pink interiors.

There were lots of pink flowers about, which was lovely after seeing all the yellow ones in WA. These were not quite bottle brushes in shape.

The sunny weather didn’t last long, though. By mid-afternoon it was raining cats and dogs. Luckily it stopped long enough for us to take a little walk on the coastal heath nearby before dinner.
