A sunny Saturday: a perfect time to catch up with a few uni friends who’ve recently had bubs. We wandered around the corner from my friend’s flat in Pyrmont to a little cafe called Pyjamas. I had a particularly nice eggs benedict, which I haven’t had in quite awhile. The hollandaise was nice a creamy, and the sourdough a good texture – crust not too hard, the inside nice and soft. Very satisfying.

Spooks Series 8 – Reunion
Yes, series 8 has started in the UK, and I’ve been following it. How could I not when it featured the reunion I’ve been waiting for: between Harry and Ruth.
Masuya – Teriyaki Salmon
The teriyaki salmon was good. This is how the marinade is supposed to look, not the bottled crap that you buy in the supermarket. The recipe is actually super easy, so if you want to taste authentic teriyaki salmon it’s better to make it yourself.
Ashes to Ashes – Slave to Love
Okay, I think I’m getting quite addicted to this show now. It’s definitely different from Life on Mars, but I think this is just as good. Of course, a good dose of unresolved sexual tension does lift things a great deal. A bit beauty and the beast, this one, but sizzling nevertheless.

Ashes to Ashes vs Top Gear
I’m in the middle of an Ashes to Ashes kick, and I found this spoof which I thought was quite amusing.
